NGOC TRAN - DISADVANTAGES OF STUDYING ABROAD

It may seems that studying abroad is a dream of many people. It is believed that studying in a different country which is more developed can give people a better education system, a more mordern study environment, more friends to make, more things to try.. and lots of benefits. However, anything has its drawbacks and you have to deal with some prolems when you choose to study oversea.

The most common disadvantage that you can see is that studying abroad does cost a lot. The school fee can be a pressure because not every student is well financial being. Moreover, other expanses like traveling expanses and costs of daily living are always higher than those in hometown.

Another point is that you would find difficulties in communicating, especially when your voice is different from the native speakers'. And even when you are very good at English (or other languages), you might not understand everything your teachers say, that can leads to troubles in your study.

While living far away from home, you can be 'homesick'. All of your family members, relatives and friends are not next to you and you have to face problems on your own, do everything by yourself. Sometimes you can feel alone and stress. This 'homesick' situation is considered the biggest disadvantage for students when they have just came to the new environment.

In conclusion, studying abroad has both advantages and disadavantages. Don't be overwhelmed and try to make your best dicision!
